Making time to really get to know SwiftPOS is a challenge and it's usually put off until later. Here's a way to help you save time!
We want to focus on today's 'Reorder Table Items' function key. Sure, you could look through your layouts for products… or use the search function to look for a particular item… but why would you do that when you can simply press the ‘reorder table item’ button to process menu items that your guests are already enjoying.
Let's investigate how it works!
You can customise the keyboard setup with the 'reorder table items' key (110) however it best fits your venue. An image can be added to the button and the product groups applicable for this function can be limited, just as demonstrated in the example beneath.
To choose which product categories you want to include in the ‘reorder’ feature (after you have added the function key 110 to your keyboard layout), click on ‘more settings’ and then add the product groups.
You decide which groups you want to include. Don't be concerned, the product will still act as expected. For instance, if you include chilled beverages and they get printed somewhere in your location, they'll still print as expected.
During a service period, you would direct your staff to set the table as normal.
When the table is open and the items are in the sales grid, press the function key ‘reorder table item’, or in this example, the ‘Same Drinks Again’ button. You will be directed to another page.
You will be presented with a list of items already purchased at that table. Choose the items you'd like to reorder, then press OK. Those selected items will show up in the sales grid, and you proceed as usual by pressing the TABLE button to save them to that table.
This system will lessen the amount of clicks needed at your venue, so your staff can concentrate on your customers.
